Wilensky & Co., PC is a full service tax firm that offers an array of services for businesses and individuals that include tax preparation, tax planning, trust and estate planning, business advisory services, and pension administration. Since its inception, Wilensky & Co., P.C. has developed a practice philosophy which values the development of strong working relationships with all their clients. Our Team
President & Founder
Robert B. Wilensky, CPA, Founder and President of Wilensky & Co., P.C., graduated from Case Western University in 1972, and successfully passed the CPA exam in that year. He moved to Boston and started his career working in the tax and audit department of an international accounting firm working with primarily with growth oriented companies. After several busy seasons and a move from Boston to Atlanta, he became Director of Operations of a national chain of gift shops. As director, he was instrumental in helping the business double in size. Finally, in 1977 Bob started Wilensky & Co., P.C. Bob’s vision was to create a tightly held boutique firm where clients enjoy high level accounting and financial information with first class service. His expertise in corporate and individual tax law has given him a reputation of saving clients vast sums in tax dollars.
Bob is also very active in the Atlanta community. Bob helped start and was Co-Chairperson for the Genesis Shelter. Genesis Shelter empowers homeless families with newborn babies to achieve self-sufficiency by providing resources and life skills education. He also served on the Board, as Treasurer of The Make A Wish Foundation, working to provide wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
In addition to being a CPA, Bob is also a Georgia licensed insurance agent and mortgage broker.

Senior Accountant
Brenda Atherton, Senior Accountant, has been with W & Co., P.C. since January 1990. Prior to joining W & CO, Brenda worked for public accounting firms in Montgomery, Alabama and Nashville, Tennessee. With 30 years of experience in the accounting and tax profession, Brenda works closely with medical practices, law firms, and their partners to not only prepare financials statements and tax returns, but to consult on medical practice strategic planning, new partner buy-in agreements, terminating partner' buy-outs, and other practice assistance. Brenda graduated Auburn University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. In her free time Brenda enjoys golfing with her husband, Bob, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Senior Accountant
Hanna Lee, Senior Accountant, started with W & Co., P.C. in 2005 after spending five years working in New York City. Hanna has a wealth of experience and knowledge in both tax and accounting. She is not only proficient in working with corporations, partnerships, and individuals on their more traditional tax and accounting needs, but spends a lot of her time focused on trust, estate and gift tax work and review engagements. Hanna received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from St. John’s University.
Accountant
Matthew Portman, Accountant, joined W & Co., P.C. in 2010. He graduated from Kennesaw State with a BBA in Accounting. Prior to joining W& Co, Matthew worked at a regional public accounting firm in the Atlanta area where he specialized in high net worth individuals and real estate partnerships. His accounting work experience also includes working as a contractor with multiple counties in Georgia to support them with their Business Personal Property Tax reviews. Before going back to school for an accounting degree, Matthew gained various business experience including having held one patent and assisting start-up companies. Matthew lives in Woodstock with his wife and two year old son.
Director of Business Advisory Services
Kevin rejoined Wilensky & Co., P.C. in 2010. He brings his youth and leadership to the team which he has gained from his broad industry experiences since graduating with a Masters of Accounting and Bachelors degree from Tulane University. After graduation, Kevin worked in the audit division at a global accounting firm before joining Wilensky & Co. in 2006. After several tax seasons, Kevin decided to expand his industry experience and was hired as the CFO of a multi-million dollar market research firm headquartered in Atlanta. Kevin helped grow the top line and the bottom line of the firm significantly but knew he wanted to return to the family business. Kevin then rejoined Wilensky & Co. in 2010 to start a business advisory division. As an outsourced CFO to his clients, he has helped them grow and become more profitable. He accomplishes these outcomes by working with the owner and/or management team to ensure the company meets both long term and short term financial goals. In addition to his outsourced CFO role for his clients, he was hired as the internal CFO for Wilensky & Co. and serves on its leadership team.
Office Manager
Cheryl Lester has been with Wilensky & Co., P.C. since May, 2000. Cheryl worked for 10 years in the computer industry for such companies as Bell Laborites and Nabisco before retiring to raise her two children. Bringing her prior experience and skill set, Cheryl serves as the Office Administrator for W&CO. She is in charge of managing and organizing the clerical functions of the business, IT operations, and human resources related matters. In her spare time Cheryl enjoys gardening and spending time with her family. She is a graduate of Misericordia University where she earned a BS degree in Mathematics.
Administrator
Bridget Scott joined Wilensky & Co., P.C. in December of 2005 as front office receptionist and assistant administrator. Prior to joining W & Co, Bridget worked for Southern Company Services, McNeil Consumer Products Company a division of Johnson & Johnson, and Mercer Human Resource Consulting a Marsh & McLennan Company. Born in Germany, Bridgette moved to the United States as a child, but is still fluent in her native German tongue. When she is not supporting W&CO’s office manager and professional staff to increase overall productivity and client satisfaction, Bridgette is busy being the proud grandparent of 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
