Robert B. Wilensky, CPA

Founding Principal

Robert B. Wilensky, CPA, Founder and President of Wilensky & Co., P.C., graduated from Case Western University in 1972, and successfully passed the CPA exam in that year. He moved to Boston and started his career working in the tax and audit department of an international accounting firm working primarily with growth oriented companies. After several busy seasons and a move from Boston to Atlanta, he became Director of Operations of a national chain of gift shops. As director, he was instrumental in helping the business double in size. Finally, in 1977 Bob started Wilensky & Co., P.C. Bob’s vision was to create a tightly held boutique firm where clients enjoy high level accounting and financial information with first class service. His expertise in corporate and individual tax law has given him a reputation of saving clients vast sums in tax dollars.

Bob is also very active in the Atlanta community. Bob helped start and was Co-Chairperson for the Genesis Shelter. Genesis Shelter empowers homeless families with newborn babies to achieve self-sufficiency by providing resources and life skills education. He also served on the Board, as Treasurer of The Make A Wish Foundation, working to provide wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.

In addition to being a CPA, Bob is also a Georgia licensed insurance agent and mortgage broker.


KEVIN Wilensky, CPA

Principal & Director of Business Advisory Services

Kevin’s expertise as a tax and business advisor is the result of a genuine passion for entrepreneurship and helping those who pursue it. After acquiring his bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting from Tulane University he was brought on by Big 4 accounting firm as part of their audit division. Kevin was later hired as CFO at a cutting-edge market research firm in Atlanta, greatly expanding experience within the industry. While there he aided in growing the top and bottom line of the firm by significant margins. He continues in that role on a part-time consultant basis, helping to ensure their steady growth and aid with the development of spin off companies and products. In 2010, an entrepreneur at heart himself, Kevin launched a business advisory division at Wilensky & Co., PC. Today he serves not only as outsourced CFO to select clients, but also as a close advisor to entrepreneurs seeking to grow their businesses, mitigate taxes, and secure long term success.

Kevin also has served on the board of Jewish Kids Groups as Treasurer since 2013. JKG is an independent network of Jewish supplementary schools that educate and inspire children--in a way that feels like summer camp – engendering positive Jewish learning, identity, and friendships. While away from the office, Kevin spends his time with his wife, Haley and two daughters, Emma and Ruby. 


Faith ShatzmaN, CPA

MANAGER

Faith Shatzman is an Accounting and Tax professional with Wilensky & Co., P.C. Her vast 20 year professional background in public accounting, along with her strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills, makes Faith a valued addition to the Wilensky & Co. team. Her expertise focuses on complex research and tax preparation for corporate, partnership, estate, trust and individual returns for high net-worth individuals and multistate businesses. Prior to joining Wilensky & Co., Faith worked in one of the top regional accounting firms in the southeast. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from State University of New York, Buffalo. During her time away from the office, Faith enjoys gardening and travelling. She is co-chair of the Empty Nester Program and volunteers with the Coalition for Literacy Mentoring program.

Brenda Atherton

Accounting & Tax Professional

Brenda Atherton, Senior Accountant, has been with Wilensky & Co., P.C. since January 1990. Prior to joining W&Co, Brenda worked for public accounting firms in Montgomery, Alabama and Nashville, Tennessee. With 30 years of experience in the accounting and tax profession, Brenda works closely with medical practices, law firms, and their partners to not only prepare financials statements and tax returns, but to consult on medical practice strategic planning, new partner buy-in agreements, terminating partner' buy-outs, and other practice assistance. Brenda graduated Auburn University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. In her free time Brenda enjoys golfing with her husband, Bob, and spending time with her grandchildren.


HANNA LEE

Accounting & Tax Professional

Hanna Lee, Senior Accountant, started with Wilensky & Co., P.C. in 2005 after spending five years working in New York City. Hanna has a wealth of experience and knowledge in both tax and accounting. She is not only proficient in working with corporations, partnerships, and individuals on their more traditional tax and accounting needs, but spends a lot of her time focused on trust, estate and gift tax work and review engagements. Hanna received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from St. John's University.


Denise Brown, EA

Accounting & Tax Professional

Denise Brown is an Accounting and Tax professional with Wilensky & Co. With over 10 years in public accounting, Denise has extensive experience in tax preparation for corporate, partnership, estate, trust and individual returns for wide variety of clients including small businesses, non-profit organizations, employee benefit plans and high net-worth individuals.

Denise’s public accounting experience includes providing audit and assurance services for a variety of industries including financial statement audits for public, private and not-for-profit organizations, local county governments, and employee benefit plans. Denise graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) and is currently pursuing her certified public accounting certificate. In her free time, Denise volunteers with nonprofit organizations supporting adults with developmental challenges.


MARY HOWARD

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR & BOOKKEEPER

Mary serves as one of Wilensky & CO., PC’s office administrators as well as a part time bookkeeper. Mary joined Wilensky & Co., P.C. in January 2015 as front office receptionist, but quickly was able to take on more responsibility and was promoted to her current role. Prior to working at W&Co. Mary worked as a paralegal for a local Personal Injury Attorney. Mary is also an artist at heart. She enjoys making costumes, drawing, painting and sculpting and even entertains children at reading events, hospitals and other charity events in her costumes.

RACHEL MALO

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Rachel is a highly skilled executive assistant with a passion for supporting business owners. She has experience in the financial and corporate world supporting businesses, their clients and executives.  Her energetic personality and organizational skills has had a big impact within the firm and the clients Rachel is an Atlanta native who has volunteer experience in making meals for Atlanta’s homeless population as well as event planning for raising funds for at risk youth.
